The Windows 8 Power Struggle: Metro vs Desktop and Why They Don't Mesh Well

Ah… Another day in South Carolina and another Republican shamed due to ethic violations and other corruptible behaviors.
Lt. Governor (now former) Ken Ard has resigned and been handed five years probation, a $5,000 fine and 300 hours community service for his misdeeds.
But, really? Will this change the Republican stranglehold on this state? Nope. Not at all.
Ard pleaded to four counts of unlawful reimbursement of campaign contributions, two counts of falsely filing campaign reports, and one count encompassing multiple acts of personal use of campaign funds.
And he thought he’d never be in in the spot he’s in? In a million years? That signals to me he was intent on getting away with it.
“I stand here humble, apologetic, and, your honor, there’s so many people I need to apologize to. I’m ashamed of that. I should have done it differently. That’s my fault, nobody else’s. To every person in South Carolina, whether they voted for me or didn’t vote for me, they deserve better and I’ll be honest, your honor, I never in a million years imagined I’d be here,” Ard said, eyes full of tears.
I knew I deserved better. I voted for Ashley Cooper. I hope the story (endorsement) I linked to makes you kick yourself in the ass.
But when people are so blinded and brainless in this state, it’s hard to vote for someone when facts don’t matter. Unless there is an “R” in front of your name, forget it.
Oh, and remember, you must thump the Bible every hour because if you don’t, you’re looked at funny.
I suppose people in this state couldn’t care less about those who can and want to actually do their job once elected. No, they care more about popularity and looking good amongst others when they socialize by saying they are a “Publican” in the crowd.
